Acceptance of our own bodies and our humaness and living within it lovingly and in grace, is the entrance to truly living JOYFULLY! Also we need to realize our BODY is a GIFT from God.
After almost dieing a year ago, is when I began to realize that my Body was GODS gift to me.
I also recognized that accepting our humaness, for me and a lot of people tends to be a difficult bridge for us to cross.
We are living in a very strong technical era in time which can make life if our bodies are left unattended, less joyful.
Our technology drives us more into our minds, so our body time to many, becomes less relevant. So we tend to spend less time there.
Because of this trend, it is easy for us humans to get caught up in treating ourselves and our bodies as machines. And as we do we tend to let our minds become our ruler.
That is why in many meditative circles is why it is called the EGO. The more the EGO reigns, you will find the less happy you and I will become. Once we allow our EGO or our minds to run the show, is when we begin to treate of our bodies as if it were a machine.
If you will remember Charlie Chaplin in his movie "Eating Machine" he in humor suggests the roll of how technology if we are not careful can in fact, remove our humaness and the joy of living life.
We are not machines and as our technology grows it become more important that we spend time, not taking our humaness for granted and spending more TIME within our Bodies to experience that JOY.
What I am going to tell you may surprise you all. I don't think coming to earth to gain a BODY was a RANDOM ACCIDENT for you and me but an OPPORTUNITY, offered to each one of us to gain JOY and as a GIFT to us all, from GOD.
But for it to become a GIFT from God, we have to take necessary mind times out to experience more BODY TIME.
For that reason, I want you to see your body as your TRUE NORTH STAR. It is you and my body, that knows way ahead of time, even before the mind, which choices in life our best for you and I to take. In fact, when my body speaks, is when I know what choice I should make.
That is why taking BODY TIME OUTS is essential for us, to get to learn more about the natural wisdon that comes from listening to our bodies, more. That is so we can apply its inspiration and its knowledge within our daily yives.
Somehow, to counter this trend of not taking our bodies so seriously, I believe we all need to take up some physical activity to recognize our bodies, as the joy that we can experience life more fully, within our lives.
Now you know why I take my daily walks because I find that the more physical active I can become each day, and the more body time I can spend, the less time I will spend in my mind and the happier I hav e become. So that is why I am passing along my BODY experiences over to you.
That is why this blog stresses so much for me as well spending what I call as a mind time out, in BODY TIME. Because once we do, two things happen, first we take time to get out of our minds, not permenantly but at least in intensity. Two we get to learn how to FEEL GOOD.
Feeling physcially fit is a choice and when you decide to FEEL GOOD with exercise, weight control, eating good, and meditation to create some mindfulness in our lives, is when BODY ACCEPTANCE finally arrives.
So what happens once you spend BODY TIME and begin to FEEL GOOD, you soon become filled with JOY of being ALIVE.
Yes, our bodies were meant to experience the joy of our lives so treating it well, is how Joyfulenss begins. And once we expereince the joy of life, breathing fully, and embracing life at its core, is how we become a fully living Human Being.
That is why setting time aside to do the opposite of what most people do with technologies gift of time, which is to watch TV, and live a more couch potato life.
My idea instead, is to take my gift of time one that GOD has given and two that technology offers me and us all, and pend set aside some BODY time each day, in order to help me and help you FEEL GOOD each day. Making it a daily experience rather than a random one, is another important BODY choice.
To FEEL GOOD is available to all of us, but we have to be willing to make this choice OUR OWN.
So choose well!
