The "Times" magazine suggests that John Maynard Keynes
was in fact, one of the most important and influencial economists of our times.
Three great economists, Adam Smith, John Maynard Keynes, and Karl Marx
Keynes by family was said to have lived a unhurried life.
The famous economist and creator of what economists use today and a friend of FDR and instrumental in the creation of Macro Econoomic. So what did his grandchildren have to say about John Maynard Keynes,
“Our grandchildren”, wrote John Maynard Keynes in 1930, would work around “three hours a day” – and probably only by choice.
Unhurried is an ADJECTIVE
moving, acting, or taking place without haste or urgency.
What is the meaning of a person choosing an unhurried LIFE?
“If you had one word to escribe Jesus, what would it be?”
"Many would fit well. Courageous and loving, patient and kind. He did the miraculous, loved the unloveable, stood up to the powerful and spoke truth to the influential. He was courageous and strong-willed, yet had a heart for those others moved past quickly. He was filled with love for a broken world to the point of becoming man and dying on a cross to free a world lost in its own ways"
If one had to sum up why He could do all of these things, one would have to state it is because
Jesus was unhurried!
So why are so many woman and even men so hurried? Is it a choice or a non-response to living in a busy world.
Our American culture is such a busy one, and only a few woman have made this this their choice, and so why not you make this your choice TODAY.
One author states, "Do you know anyone who lives an unhurried life? It’s a rarity for American culture. We not only value a job well-done, but a job done with expediency. Faster is better. Busyness is praised. There are few people who live unhurried lives. When we see someone who breaks with culture and slows this frantic pace we can be quick to assume that they are lazy or unmotivated."
"But could it be possible that living unhurried is actually a spiritual discipline?"
Bedcause I am an active mediator I try most days to be in the NOW, I have purposely chosen an unhurried life. I have done so because it gives me time as some say, "To SMELL the FLOWERS".
I have to say because I have made this a conscious choice my life has been far richer than most, Yes, I am human lke most of you so that every day isn't always glowing and sometimes are in fact boring, but even if so, I still take time to get back in the NOW, and once again experience life's JOY.
I also am seem to get more (good stuff done) but I also make sure that I have some time for family and friends and also to be available to help someone in need. Yes, being available is for me, an important choice.
I love to attend church or stroll in the deseret of through a store and play my SUPER HERO game with everyone I meet, saying in my mind, "May You Have Joy". And using this mantra, has allowed me to become a more caring and sharing human being. So why and how can you become unhurried soul?
So what are some reasons, a person or you might decide to live an unhurried life too?
