Woman within ~ How Sandplay Therapy can Help Woman Who have experienced abuse, or who are without an inner Voice, become WHOLE as She once was as a Child
Often the hands will solve a mystery that the intellect has struggled with in vain” C. G. Jung
Sandplay and lead a person back when they were a child and into a consciousness long forgotten, but still alive which lies deep within. It can move won into their more internal self that they lost when they became an adult.
It is especially important for women who have at one time been abused, or those who haven't discovered and inner voice.
In fact, I believe, every woman should on her own, whether going to a therapist, or doing a similar practice at a beach, or in the desert, on her own alone, could be what the Shrink has ordered to discover, her true self.
This therapy might seem trite, but according to Dora Kalff a senior native of Switzerland and a student of the famous Psychotherapist, Carl Jung, she has been using Sandplay as her main therapy for children and adults, most of her life.
She suggests that Sandplay is one of the most important therapies one can do, to discover one’s own inner voice. That is why I am including Dora’s findings, in this blog. I believe, even if you were to take it to the beach or go into the desert alone, applying this simple practice, after 15 to 30 minutes of this simple practice, your life will be different.
So what does Sandplay try to do, it is simply where a person will in sand, work out her own external fantasies which we all have to a certain extent. And then gain a sense of relating to them, and learning to control those fantasies, through play.
In fact, interpretation is not necessary as it is with other therapies because once it is over, the person can stop, and go about her life, in a new more harmonious way. Somewhat, piloting some of her past problems away as she enters a more realistic view of herself.
